Welcome to our country!

Latvia - the middle of the three Baltic states, has been an important cross-road between East and West for centuries. With its mild climate it is a good choice for a vacation, recreation or active sports. Latvia is known for its photogenic castles, music festivals and scenic river valleys. Thanks to its small area, it is possible to reach every corner of the land within four hours.

Riga announces itself with a unique and fantastically beautiful silhouette which is sometimes reflected in the Daugava, the largest river of Latvia, but sometimes secretively disappears in the fog. The Old Town is the most ancient part of Riga. Over the time with much of the old disappearing and the new replacing it, the Old Town has become a part of the modern city where evidence of various centuries alternates in the streets. Riga is also famous for its Art Nouveau architecture; there is no other European city with so many buildings and architectural ensembles built at the end of the last century, having all the features of this style.

There’s no reason to limit yourself to Riga if you’ve got the time to a take a trip to the beach. Hop on a Jūrmala bound train and step off in Majori 30 minutes later for al fresco dining, a day of beauty treatments at a spa or just to claim a patch of sand, sun and sea.

Many sightseeing places are located around the Riga region, such as Birinu castle, Turaidas castle, Ikskiles castle-ruins, Jelgavas castle, The National Park of River Gauja and many others that can be reached within two hours time.
